About Me & My Approach to Therapy

Hello, I’m Louise, a pluralistic psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Pluralistic Counselling and 10 years of experience working in the field of therapy.

I’m also a wife and a mother, and being in my 40s, I understand that life can bring many different challenges and transitions. Sometimes, amongst the demands of everyday life, we can lose sight of ourselves and the importance of creating space for our own wellbeing.

Making Space for You

I believe that creating space for therapy can have a tremendous impact. Taking time to pause, reflect and focus on yourself is not selfish — it can be an incredibly valuable investment in your emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

Therapy doesn’t have to mean making huge changes overnight. Often, it’s about taking small, manageable steps that can gradually help us understand ourselves, develop new perspectives and move towards the life we want.

I believe in approaching this process with compassion, kindness and grace. We can be incredibly hard on ourselves, particularly when we feel we aren’t managing everything as well as we’d like. Therapy provides an opportunity to step back from that self-criticism and create a space where you can be heard, understood and supported.

My approach is collaborative. As a pluralistic therapist, I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and our work together should be shaped around your individual needs, circumstances and goals.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or simply feel ready for something to change, therapy can provide the space to explore where you are now and consider where you would like to go next.

Sometimes, taking that first small step towards yourself can be the beginning of a very important next chapter.
